Need help with a oil on canvas mounted on board. I think that the canvas was mounted on this board in a much later period than creation date. Does somebody know how old this could be or what it is? Does it tell a myth, story or a fairy tale, or is it religious? I guess that it's Russian because of the Orthodox cross on the church building. The back was covered in hand painted watercolor decor paper and somebody peeled it away and it shows old newspapers which are in the Russian language. I have also uploaded some close up pics of the canvas and how it's stitched together in the hope somebody can tell the age from that?

It's shows a lady flying out a window with a child in her arms. Guess she is saving her from the two bad guys standing in the window. The two bad hombres look Asian to me and could be Ottomam I guess. One has a sword bound around his waist which looks oriental/ottoman design and the other one is holding a spear. It's a winter scene because you can see the snow on the roof where she is flying out (or is she jumping). You can see some arrows stuck into the building which tells me that they probably stormed into the building or was it maybe a war?

Any info/input is welcome.
