Featured WWII Love Letters To Helene

    As the mother of 2 soldiers who have been to war, I understand his fears, his writings are evident he is scared & justifiably so. I await the next letter!

    I had an uncle who went to war and his sweetheart back home dumped him. So sad! Hope this has a happier ending.

    Oho - he's Protestant, she's Catholic. Back in the day that was a Problem. My great-grandparents had to get married in a courthouse for the same reason. No church would have them. Didn't stop them though, and I bet Herm and Helene either. Sounds like Herm was taking Instruction.

    He got dear-Johnned and still wants her to keep writing because he still likes getting the letters. Beats finding out the hard way later, I guess.

    Oh no, my heart hurts for him. Im hoping this turns out to be a better ending…I anxiously await. This is worse than waiting for Christmas.
