The hair style doesn't look east coast Native American to me. </p><p><br /></p><p>Wendy, you aren't the only one that is thinking Aztec, etc... I think the Aztecs were at times depicted with fronds skirts. I believe there are Spanish depictions of Montezuma in fronds, with over-the-top head gear.
