I bought myself a present. Since it came from the Discovery Shop, all I know is that the diamonds and gold are real. I did get a 25% discount though.

Later I found the 585 mark on the lobster clasp. I looked and looked, and I couldn't find another mark of any kind. Perhaps, you all can tell me where to look. I know they can be hidden in tiny places, but I used my loupe at home and couldn't find anything else.

Since it is marked with 585, my research says it is European. Since that is a mighty big place, does the design and manufacture tell anything about it? I know it has to be after the 50s because of the lobster clasp. The diamonds don't fit well into the setting - there are gaps, if that is of any help. The diamond piece is 2 inches across. The chain is 7 inches on each side. Total length 16 inches. It weighs 10 grams in total.

I am just looking for information, as it enhances my appreciation of the pieces I wear. I don't even know what to call it - a necklace? pendant? chocker or something else. Any thoughts, comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

Yes, that is a cat's paw.
