We have a small WWII museum in the county in which we live. We have donated letters, clothing, personal photos and other items to them. They even took the ration coupons and the coupon books we had for a display on the homefront.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    My ol' man says...
"The Honorable Service Lapel Button is sometimes called the Honorable Service Lapel Pin, and affectionately, the Ruptured Duck".

    I found this.

I have a hard time thinking of the Honorable Discharge pins by their official names; the guys used the other so often that I learned it too. The ones from the Navy Reserve are different. With all the WWII veterans dying off rapidly, I'm betting a lot of this material is going to come out.

I donated a diary to the Kennet square Penn historical society that I had found in a throw out pile. It was written from 1862-72,the writing was so tiny and he even wrote in the margins ! Not one scrap was unwritten on ! And this is what he said about the great Chicago fire " Chicago burnt down ".:)
