I think it's a woman, unless its 1920s Bruce/Caitlin Jenner.
Outfit looks like a modern bathrobe. Whatever it is, why would she let it get so dirty on the bottom?
She's wearing either some sort of hat, a ninja headband, or something like this:

 

I picked it up from my grandson and friends, and it just struck me as fun.
I often use "tru dat" as well - just ask my friends. heeheehee

The slang "word" I believe came to popularity in the late 80s or early 90s (before I was around, in any case). It seems to me like it was often used among the "skater" and "gangsta" crowd for some time before going out of popularity. it appears that it came back into use in the early to mid 2000s among the younger crowd, middle school age or lower.

I mean, what pronoun do you use? I've heard the use of "zhe" as a non-gender-specific pronoun, but...

 

You use 'she". She is a woman. She was born male, but wasn't.

I am not personally fond of her, as I think she is milking it for all it worth, and there many who had to come out the hard way - with out all the hoopla and support of Hollywood.
But she what she is. And she is not an "IT". She is a human woman.
