Only a tiny corner of the sticker label remains, underneath, as depicted in the top photo. </p><p><br /></p><p>My totally wild guess is that it is post WWII (maybe 1950s) and is foreign, perhaps made in Japan. The rubber stopper on the bottom is not pliable any more, and I suspect it will crumble if I try to remove it. There are no discernible markings on it.</p><p><br /></p><p>It does appear to be hand-painted, and the yellow/brown color you see on the side is from the paint/glaze, not discoloration or dirt.</p><p><br /></p><p>Any thoughts as to who made it, when and where?[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
