Looking at the nice clear pic of the bottom, it doesn’t look like it has been moved around very much; possibly a clue to age.
The photo in AJ’s post provides clear evidence of use of the “frownie face” in the pre-digital era. This has come as a shock to leading archaeologists, one of whom (Dr. Hemet Polonovski of University of Schmuckovia) suffered a fatal coronary infarction on hearing the news.
I remember that, heart-breaking news. But let that be a lesson to all archaeologists, the truth is out there.
