    Not sharp enough to be a toothpick, not concave enough to be an earpick.

    INH - you're thinking of a tobacco tamper. Might be, but I'm fairly sure they're a different shape?

    Fascinating little item, whatever it is! I'd love to have it, just for the hell of it!

    I don't think this is a bookmark. But whatever it is-is, I'd love it!

    I'm thinking it's a medical something or other as silver has anti-bacterial properties.

    I'm with SBSVC - looks like the stick from either an artisan hair barrette (stick barrette, hair buckle, hair slide, ponytail holder, whatever) or a shawl pin...
