Vintage hand puppet, lion cub ?

Actually I was born in 1942 in England. War was raging and toys were the last thing that were important, we didn't have any store bought toys .. we learned to make our own. Paper dolls, stuffed dolls hand sewn, puppet shows, sling shots . punch and Judy, .. many things. Things were hard to come by in those times .. but it kept us occupied, ration books were still being used several years after the war ended as England had to pay back huge debts to allied countries, but pay back she DID !! .. My first store bought toy was a colouring book and crayons .. I remember it clearly, I treasured that gift, but I'd treasure more today those hand-made toys we made so long ago ...Joy.
