Mine has an extra little feature on the top that square around the top knob, but can't believe this is anything but the same. I was hoping that my store bought glass spice jars might fit in, but the openings are too small, so you must need smaller sized jars. Mystery solved! Great job, SIS.

@Lucille.b , Boy, where are all the soup folks ??? looks like it's for Saltine crackers to me .......bring on the clam chowder !!!!!! And too funny you have a soup can there and nobody even said "Crackers"..... I tried to find a picture of the cellophane wrapped ones I used to get in these w soup, but could ony find the Keebler one...same smell, different toenail....lol ....70's .......

What ever it is the diamond shaped metal at the top would prevent anything square from coming directly up and out.
