    Looks like Clarissa Dickson-Wright died almost two years ago. The date of the BBC news article is "17 March 2014" ("TV cook Clarissa Dickson Wright dies")

    Shangas, don't worry about it -- it's not "too bad" until you miss the timing of "new" information by a decade. ;)

    Thank you for the reply, TallCakes. I am sorry that I just now popped back in. I gather, then, that you crimp the edge before you lay it on the contents? That was what my confusion was, as I thought it was used to crimp the edge after it was on the pie, or whatever, (which is how I manually crimp pie crusts) and I couldn't see how that worked.
