[QUOTE="Bakersgma, post: 8128, member: 59"]I found this little pot with what *may* be real Van Briggle marks at a "downsizing" sale today. I've looked the marks up in Lehner's and Fake and Forged Marks (both of which are in my reference library) and I'm still not certain, although it doesn't have any of the particular things to be leery of that Chervenka mentions. Lehner does not show a mark with Van Briggle and Colo. Spgs in script except with the inclusion of Anna, which this one does not have. It also has a capital T bottom center, which (from other things I have seen) could be the decorator's mark, but I have not seen a T identified and confirmed.

The fellow I bought it from told me he had owned it "a long time" and that he had bought it at a yard sale in San Francisco. It was only $25 so it won't be the end of the world, but that's more than I would normally spend on pottery. And of course, I'm not planning on selling it anyway. But it would be nice to know.

I browsed through a bunch of ebay listings and saw several in this shape called "Philodendron Leaf with cutouts."
