I see Anund has answered your query. I also think Philodendron Leaf is the correct name of this vase. I'm not sure if "with cutouts" is needed. The websites I like best for Van Briggle are

    1. The one Terry gave you, the Clement Marot Hull site

    http://clemhull.com/glazes.html
    2. http://vanbrigglepottery.blogspot.ca/

and the actual Van Briggle website; however, of late when I click any of the links on their website, up pops a warning notice "This Connection is Untrusted..." Anyways the website has a catalog with one of the products the Philodendron Leaf vase. The actual page doesn't have a pic of the vase. There is a link to the pic and when I click the link up comes the Untrusted warning. I have included a pic of the catalog page. It tells the colors it comes in, height, price and that the product was added to their catalog in 2004. The link is:

but as many will not want to click this link, following is a pic of the page.

Bake, the real or repro link above has Van Briggle's Philodendron Leaf bowl. You need to scroll about 1/2 way down the page to the "Production History of Five Shapes" chart. The chart says this bowl was in the 1940-50 brochures and is being produced today. The 1st pic, fig. 1, under the chart is the bowl.

    Thanks for weighing in, Susan.

The reason why I said "with cutouts" is because when I was browsing listing earlier I found a bunch with the same basic shape but without the little reticulations between the leaves.

Looks like everyone else has answered this. I would add that I concur with anund and think most likely 60s. I see no reason to believe that this is not legit.

The only info on a finisher using a single T is listed as "Unknown - Known to have finished conch shell - date ca. 1960"

I have two of these Van Briggle Philodendron Leaf bowls and a vase as well.

Van Briggle was re open a few times and unless it says "Original" then they are all some what copies, though I suspect this bowls original patterns were lost and recast from an earlier bowl. This is my guess work do to the fact that the earlier ones I have seen have a more defined look then those released later. A copy of a copy. Still the price you paid is good. This bowl can sell between $160.00 down to about $50.00 depending on detail, glaze, age, and finisher.

For info on the markings see

The "original" designation means the piece is hand thrown. Nearly all of the patterned forms were from molds, though some earlier pieces had additional hand work done post-mold. Many of the molds were redone over the years. Whether as original molds or made from existing pieces, I do not know.
