PB-B is good, but doesn't come close to the Kroil products, in my opinion. NASA and many Fortune 500 companies use it.

I've used it on frozen-for-a-century-or-more items and it generally works, given time. I usually tap the item with a small brass hammer to get rid of loose material, squirt it on, wait an hour or so, and often the item is free enough to turn by hand. If you look closely, you see teeny-tiny bubbles where it is creeping in. No need to get rough with old and fragile items. The brass hammer usually finishes the job if Kroil alone doesn't do it.

That said, it doesn't leave much of a lubricant behind ....just a dusting of fine graphite or silicone, depending on the configuration you use. You'll probably want to use a more permanent lubricant afterwards. I like beeswax for old metal.

Pricey, but well worth it. Once you buy some they will send you pretty decent promotions from then on. (No, I don't have stock in them or work there.)

Tried 50-50 Dextron ATF/Acetone? A lot of people swear by that, and the price is right. I keep meaning to mix some up but then those handy spray cans of other potions are more inviting.

I used to use ATF in my homemade concoctions, with decent results. I can see where acetone might work pretty well with it, but dislike using it. Too volatile, stinky etc.

Kroil is tidy and doesn't seem too dangerous.

That's what I use for most rusted bolts (Kroil) - let it seep for a few hours then a little heat from a Propane torch - breaks right free -
