She edited her post after I posted that reply, as you can see in my post #10 in which I quoted her original post:

    "Finnclouds said:
    None of them are.

Yours may not be, and that is fine, but you can't say "none of them are" if several people here have rounded fish knives with a curved top."

So it was clear what Finn's original post said (see post #10) and she already edited her post some time ago, which is fine by me. So you devoted two posts to a non-issue.

Anyone else who wants to rehash the them v. mine thing, please read post #10 , including the quote, first.:dead:

To stop the knife fight here, I misspoke, so to speak — meant my own fish knives — went back on my own volition to correct that but AJ had already replied.

Also I meant that the blade doesn’t seem flat in the photo, but convex or concave or whatever — dunno how to describe it but I’ve seen it on old silver butter knives.

I often edit my posts but I was too slow to draw this time & didn’t see AJ’s post before posting the edited version.

    Thanks for that, Finn.:)

    With all due respect, AJ:
I have re-read #10 several times, as well as the other posts pertinent to this dust-up. I remain convinced that this entire fracas is a non-issue; it certainly is for me.
I apologize to all for any ruffled feathers.

Since guns were already brought to play, I thought I’d better up my game too. Like Indiana Jones, say.

    Thanks wlwhittier, I agree, a total non-issue.

But board fights are always fun for the peanut gallery. The more trivial the issue, the better. Usually people go for popcorn, though, not for their guns…

It was for me too, as I said before, in post #26.
After all, Finn had edited her post, and said so in post #12 (she was alluding to post#9). She edited it after my two posts.
She was kind enough to explain it again in post #27, even though she didn't have to, and I thanked her for it in post #28.

Yet you keep trying to make it an issue. It isn't, never was, she just made a mistake. So please stop trying to stir the pot.

    oh wait....... not really !!!:woot::woot::woot::woot:

It seems as though fish knives and butter knives can be mis identified , and at times look very similar in photographs.

I think we can all agree on that !!!:playful:

To avoid confusion and fracas in the future (and because I like getting the last word, pun intended :)) , what would be the correct term to describe the form of the blade that does not lie totally flat on the table, but curves down on both sides like in this screenshot from above? I’m not talking about the shape or notches, but the third dimension, height, as it were.
