    Don't think I said anything about having experience with these- I'm definitely still thinking the majority of these are faux.

    Exactly-which is why I personally think this is a silly conversation and authenticity should never be guessed off internet pics and info. I absolutely do not have expertise but in hand I could certainly tell organic from resin but I had no clue whether mine was actually bear which it was.

    I've come across quite a lot of Navajo bear claw jewellery, and the ones I saw all had genuine claws, not replicas.

    I worked with replica bear etc claws when I still made 'stuff' (it was considered art). Beautifully hand painted replicas, but it wasn't that difficult to tell and feel the difference.

    In hand it’s easy IMO to tell organic from not but no way am I capable of determining the animal and some modern pieces use badger as it’s not restriction.
