Train, Bridge, Sea Print

    Any printers' details will be a good clue. The language they're in may be the first pointer.

    Yeah, lots to research, Penrose Annual, Rotarprint, Kaye’s, B. Winstone.

    Rotaprint did offset litho machines - my Pa's company had some. Penrose Annual was a graphic arts review. The fact that it says brochure, implies that this was an image done as an advertisement of some kind.

    Not with that chalk and those trees. I'm still inclined to European: even in the thirties, foreign train travel was being advertised.

    but no full view from 1940.
    Maybe libraries can have it. Courious if they provide any additional information in the Annual.
    The train and wagons are not very detailed so I doubt they will give any clue.

    I could be wrong about this, but.

    Seems to me, since this was done for the Penrose Annual, it's intended as a representation of a graphic style rather than a specific place/railway.
