This would not be yard sale fodder in my neck of the woods. The patrons would expect everything to be under $5.00 and get angry if it was not.

Brad- Same in Oregon...'How come all this stuff aint' tha same prices as The Dollar Store-got any Gunz ?'. No,I joke about Oregon-not Eastern Oregon, but all the rest.
Very popular bumper sticker on the local pickups-'ORYGUN'. Really much of our state is a very enlightened place, just fairly frugal-you wouldn't want to open up a '1stDibs' Stall in the local collective.

I didn't include the really high end stuff in the sale like Teco - Hampshire - etc... there is a bunch of Weller Roseville and tons of McCoy - a piece of rookwood here and there - some quality but unsigned matte green - but nothing more than $145 I think... I am a yard and garage sale junkie and I have never seen people get aggressive down here - I dont have it marked at giveaway prices so that will help slow the roll I think - I marked it about 2/3 the price of eBay plus no shipping... example: if something sells on ebay for $15 I marked it $12 and will take $10... most of the stuff is in the $20-45 dollar range - I have a few small table top showcases where I might highlight a handful of $200 pieces just to see if I can get a nibble - I also have installed cashapp on my phone to encourage folks to spend more than their budget >evilgrin<

I don't "do" pottery, but as someone who (almost) used to resell those prices would knock me out of the running. People buying for themselves may pay those prices and may not. In my area, the odds would not be in your favor at a regular tag sale. Advertise it with the names and you'll give the cheapskates like me warning to steer clear.

pottery is heavy - a $15 piece of pottery on eBay will set you back another $9 in shipping and $1 in sales tax thus it's a $25 purchase that I am offering for $10

it is my belief that people pay the going rate for an item on eBay factoring in the shipping and tax - it's not a $15 piece of pottery - it's a $25 piece of pottery - you will see listings for the same piece with 2 different posting methods - one person will list it for $15 + $9 shipping and one person will list it for $24 and free shipping - both will pay a $1 tax - both will sell - it's a piece of pottery that has an agreed value to collectors of $25 that I am offering for $10 - it's not a quarter .25 but it is still a GREAT value - I am not interested in attracting the quarter shoppers - and I do think this economy has given people a reality check - you can't buy a steak or even a can of coffee for $10 bucks these days - I believe that these hard times have created the gap where the shoppers/browsers know that they are looking to buy or they are not at any price - if they are not then they are not buying the vase even if I made it $5 - a line has to be drawn - I think $10 for a $25 piece of pottery is low enough...

If the people coming to your sale are resellers, they want a low low price. That is how it works here on LI. Be prepared for haggling.

If they are the people who collect or want a pretty item in their home, they could pay more.

Hope it turns out great for you.

And everyone now has a phone so they can look up the items on ebay and see what they can get for them so they know if they will make a healthy profit. Unless they are the end buyer.
I don't use a phone for treasure hunting but most of my estate sale friends do.

Resellers here want to buy at about 1/3 what they would sell it for. Garage sales here are mainly for clothes and mostly tat.

Seconded. If you can't triple up at least, it's not worth the effort. The fees are too high.
