Provençal fabrics are gorgeous. I have two skirts and a shoulderbag, my husband has a shirt. And Provençal friends gave us a tablecloth with matching napkins for our wedding.

Just think two twists on either side of the head. Start with the top two.
You can also do the easy way, and just have one twist on either side. It will still look good.:)
Sindy's hair is probably very smooth and slippery, so you may have to use hairspray. Spray it on before you start twisting, that way it will stay put. Protect her little face.;) You can wash it out any time.

This girl is wearing the single twist hairstyle.

You can also see the 'cigalle' or cicada brooch, which is usually worn on the kerchief. It is the symbol of Provence.

Oh wow, what a lovely lovely symbol. That is mega cute. I have SO much to learn.I wish I could retain more. Everytime I learn one thing I realise how I know nothing. SO ineresting.

Our (Hereford's) symbol is...bulls. Not the most exotic. And cider apples, that's nicer I think. The appley part anyway. As a symbol not as an Eating thing, I hate fruit

Well I actually have many Sindy hair setting stufffs ( never, I hear you cry) and yes her hair is really slippery and hard to get a grasp of. Original hair is better but rerooted hair is a BEAST to tame. That doesn't look too difficult at all, that hair, in that pic so thank you again xxx

I should have said cicada, which is closer to what they are. I'll edit it. You hear them everywhere in Provence, as long as it isn't too cold.
We had bigger ones in Sydney, their sound made for a perfect summer's evening.

Was Tammy yellow/green? I have a few Japanese Tammy's, I have to adjust their colour....love Tammy, have one or two Pepper's as well but she's a ming imo xxx
As a co-incidence, am recolouring a 2 Gen Sindy at the moment, one of my fave jobs, easy and rewarding

    Sounds utterly gorgeous.

I have a bit of a Sons & Daughters pash, I listen to it on youtube some times when I'm doing other things....I can hear insects then, when they are outside, wonder if they are them? xxx

Tammys head was a different colour to her body, more whiter than her yellow body

She looked like she had just seen a ghost or just come off a rollercoaster !

I LOVE to find these at booties etc...they are often dressed in what AJ mentioned earlier, regional costumes ... but handmade and with varying degrees of proficiency, and as their faces change to quite interesting shades ( usually I see green/yellow but anything paler than *flesh* is possible innit!) sellers tend to dismiss them as cheap tat.
( Know I'm preaching to the converted Charlie, just musin' out loud. x x)

Three or so years ago I saw two yellow faces dressed in handmade outfits, really just bits of nasty *lace* really, on a dealers table whom I have a bit of a rivalry with ( don't know if he knows I even exist, I just keep an eye on his stuff :D ) and he charged me £1.50 for the both. He thought he'd made a bit of cash on rubb and I knew what I had so was win/win.
The *outfit* was rotten and not even a real one so I took what was left of it off.
Managed to find a Japanese wedding gown for peanuts too ( VVVHTF!!) but her face is still...pale n 'tresting

Still haven't sorted them out though, they are still green. Don't even know where they are

    That is beautiful.:jawdrop:
A bit like I look in winter.:playful: Looks intriguing on a doll though, and it is a natural process.
On me.... let's just say, I need some sun on my skin to look alive.:joyful: With our south-facing roof terrace I can start early in the season.

Oh goodness me too, me too...I am naturally brown-ish, but if I don't get any sun I look..dead. Doesn't suit me at all, the non colour look. Takes just one teeny bit of sun ( thankfully, we're not overburdened here) to make me feel better. Dunno if I look better but man I feel it
