Some decent finds this week. There was a large group of corporate art donated to the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. Both are in a numbered edition of 100 and signed by the artist. Both have Marsall Erdman and Associates provenance on the back. Ironically, despite being identical in size and framing, one was priced $15.00 and the other $35.00. There was a third priced $50.00 that I did not buy. The management would do nothing to reconcile the prices. I probably would have bought quite a bit more if I could have gotten them all down in the $25.00 range. I will probably go back in a couple weeks when prices will drop to see what is left.

I found this large watercolor at a different thrift. As can be seen in the first picture, the glass is broken and the painting has slipped down below the mat. I could not see the signature but thought it good enough to spring the $8.00 asking price ... LOL! Turns out it is by well known MI/IA artist, Rein Vanderhill. It is a bit different than his current work but is typical of his Lake Michigan shore paintings done during his MI years.

Photos are not the best.
