Botanical illustrations. They would look great framed. ($1 for 2!)

Thanks Debora. Signed L. Dreyer ‘14. I think they are rather well done.

If all else fails, market 'em to Questlove or however he spells it?

Really lovely scientific illustrations. They aren't always this nice! Definitely done by someone serious about it.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

The monochromatic type etching of the seniors by Fennell is my fave!

Oh, yeah!! Certainly did look like her work. A scientific subject but seen with an artistic eye.

I don't usually pick up art at the thrift, other than the occasional historic photo, but this graphite piece was really well done.

Frame is a newer job with contrast core mat and coated framing wire, so it makes it extra sad it clearly found it's way to the garage. Filthy, busted corners, and the foxing on the foamcore was extreme. They also didn't use UV-protect glass. It looks like acid burn, but the back of the paper is pristine and the edges are white.

Graphite on German Schoelles Parole print making paper, done in a beautiful hatch and so precise I can't imagine they used anything other than a drafting pencil. (Piece is even color throughout, it's just my lighting in the upper corner.) Small foxing.

Signed in the bottom left corner with a monogram (R...?), 72, 5 and LXIII (63).

On the back, at the top: Tischer R monogram Archer(??), 1963 (??) 295 C..b..ll

Despite all the info the artist gave, I still can't find them. Husband thinks they might be a print maker based on the etching style of drawing and the type of paper. I think illustrator or designer is also possible based on the style of monogram and precision of the piece. 1963 seems right based on the front and back signatures. No idea what the 72 and 5 signify. I tried isolating the monogram and found nothing. :bookworm: Any help is welcome!

If the artist is European, that may well be a "1" instead of a "7" in which case it could indicate a full date. (I think that's the case because the date below in Tischer notation is clearly "1963" with a similarly formed "1".)

You know that notation reads "Tischer Archive." You might want to contact the group below. They write that the archive isn't fully digitalized but having the date, as you do, should help.

    Apologies. Also it’s about 38cm x 27cm.

Thank you. Why don't you remove the kraft paper and see what you find? Also, is that a little sticker at the frame's bottom?
