Your last ring is my favorite!
While I do think that the ring is Victorian in appearance, I see the B as closer to the 1976 mark than the 1850 mark. Also, if the ring were 1850, wouldn't we see a purity mark of 9 or 9ct rather than the 375 number? I thought the three digit numbers didn't start to be used regularly until after the Hallmarking Act of 1973.

Three digit numbers have been around a fair while, but yes, not common till the 70s. The earlier three digit ones, post 1904 and 1932 had the two digit fineness as well, or were supposed to. So, you'd see 9 and 375 together in some format plus the assay mark.

The other big kicker on this as well is that 9 ct gold wasn't introduced here as a standard until 1854. ;) Those lower than 18 or 22 ct standard golds were, at that time, only required to be marked with fineness, not a full mark. 15, 12 and 9 and/or equivalent in thousandths.

@Any Jewelry - interesting thought on the style, it's possible. There are and were many Asian (as in Indian etc.) jewellers here, so perhaps that's an option, too.
