    This description for this kind of lamp appears a lot on ebay: Hollywood regency filigree jeweled 1960's lamp.

    Thank you Anouchka. I am much happier with that than with any reference to Moorish or Spanish. It looks so very American to me.

    It doesn't look Spanish to me. Maybe North African because of the stones and metal patters (which is Islamic style) but the lamp shade is not typical.
    Potentially Indian.

    The real name for the style ought to be 1960s American Crazy, but they stole heartily from North African and Spanish designs.
