Yes, This is a Buckhead estate - nice 'old time' Atl area & very desirable. A&O is the top estate/auction company in the area.
Limited number of people admitted. They have a number of people station throughout the house to watch 'happy fingers'. They supply the white bookcases to display items and pull items out of cabinets, closets, etc. so they can be seen.

Agreed however, this lady had GLASS SHELVES on at least some of her windows and, it's doubtful those were brought in.

Wow I see some stuff that I would love to get my mitts on. I would head right to the kitchen area. And I see a blue box (opaline?) that would suit my fancy just fine. And that is after a quick look.
    Very clean.
As far as estate sales mostly for women.... not here on LI. There are many many men at the sales. In fact yesterday about 95% of the people in front of me were men and I had number 44. Most sell so they come to buy stuff.
Now having said that, I know those men more than likely would scream out loud if they had to go to shop at a dept store. But get them at a sale and they are rabid.
    LOL

Same here. I only collect small things, with a specific goal, and they are stored in boxes in just two rooms of the house (beat that @James Conrad , just two rooms!).

Most of the space in our house is taken up by speakers and other sound equipment. My husband used to design loudspeaker systems, so we have some of his designs. But most are not his designs, but old speakers, because he could possibly convert and tweak them someday.
They are in every room of the house, including my study and the bedroom. I don't mind that much that they are all over the place, but I do want them out of the bedroom. (signed desparate wife :D)

Is it possible these people owned a high end antique shop and it closed? This is what my parents house looked like after my Dad had his stroke. He had a shop and the guy who was supposed to be taking care of it while my Dad was in the hospital was selling stuff out the back door. I got there one day in time to see a truck in the alley filling up with stuff. I stopped it, but we never knew what had disappeared because my Dad couldn't talk. My brother and I moved the best things to their apartment until we could make some arrangement. The arrangement was that when they moved down here, EVERYTHING came with them, which is why I still have an attic full of boxes of Thelma's stuff. ;)

Wow, A&O must be making a bomb out of this sale. They have displayed and photographed these myriad items beautifully. Wonder what their percentage will be?

Did he work for any specific company? Perhaps I've heard of it? I was a stereophile for many years.

No, all custom made for demanding customers.;) He designed them to suit their 'taste' in sound and to suit the specific dimensions and circumstances of the room they were meant for. He also designed some for studios.
He was asked by several companies, but didn't want to make any concessions when it came to quality. Concessions would have been inevitable for a manufacturing process. He is a perfectionist, so that wasn't on.
He is 77 now, but people still ask him for a custom made design. Sometimes he is tempted, but the stress of dealing with pigheaded craftspeople and delivering on time aren't good for him. Or so his wife says.:playful: (He agrees.)

The silver table birds look nice assuming they are actually silver. The marks on those can be tricky to find. If you go and those aren’t priced through the roof I would take a look. Bring a good loupe. Some of those go for big bucks!

    Looks like a fun sale!
