It looks like its been restrung at some point, wondering if I risk undoing the knots to add more length and then reattaching the clasp? The clasp would NOT open, so I had to bring it home, grab some wrenches (and my father ) and only then could I try it on.

I love the shape of the pearls, but I can't find any similar, what are these called? I have a rule about damaged items but this was just too pretty, if you flip it over its not so noticable since the others aren't uniform anyway. I'm a bit stumped with this one as well, amethyst glass and faux pearl, with a spring ring clasp. I've searched high and low for the name of the type of chain, but haven't found a thing. The round links are soldered to one of the box links, and then are loose on the other end. What is this called???

The second photo is more accurate color wise, and the 3rd photo is a close up of the chain and clasp. It measures 21 cm closed. I'm at a loss as to where to date this. The way the glass is threaded and the white inclusions (right word?) feel more modern, but the overall style and chain seem to point in the other direction. Is it 60s perhaps?
