Some of you may know about Goldfield Nevada. Perhaps even get my 'Point' in the title. ;) I have been there a few times. None other than Wyatt and Virgil Earp served there. This item is supposedly from the still in existence 1907 Goldfield Hotel though may not have had its restoration completed as yet. The hotel is where 'Super Soul', the late Cleavon Little, did his radio show in the movie. ;) ~ I got this today and even if I only had the attached plate I would be happy. :) ~ The family supposedly stayed here at last once. ~~~ Before I posted the previous and following info I came across this but still thought you may want to see this item should you come across similar>>> Do you have a Goldfield Hotel brass & copper spittoon, bed warmer, oil lamp or other? [B] In the 1980’s the late Gary Wakefield had a number of “reproduction” items for sale in his shop in Reno, NV. The brass items all had plates on them that read * GOLDFIELD HOTEL, GOLDFIELD NEVADA. Some type of light fixture or part of that oil lamp?
