    Many years ago I bought a positively stunning black and white print of the mask made from Harry Burton's original glass negatives, which he took during the excavation of the tomb. The Griffith institute still offers them. It's amazing even just to look through the archive as they were photos of everything as found. The print I have is a close-up of half the mask, showing the dried plant wreath that once hung from it. The print is amazingly sharp. They're quite reasonably priced. I framed mine and hung it in my dining room. :D



    That mask is unlikely to ever leave Egypt again so you were extremely lucky!! Every Tut exhibit on tour now has other artifacts instead, usually mostly from other excavations...
