The C's On This Chanel Ring Don't Look Right, Do They?

Premier Designs is one of those makers on my list to throw straight into a Donate jar. It's not worth much any more. Chico's is another cussword. They sold their jewelry in their stores at a high price, but the resale is on a par with Avon. (as in Nay-von)

You know who surprises me with their jewelry sometimes? J. Crew. Not top shelf of course, but better than a lot of other costume jewelry out there.

 

They copy the older styles and make it decently. The one that had me confused for a while is Madewell, an upscale brand owned by J Crew. It's often very well-made indeed, but the mark is just a capital M.

 

Ha, yeah, twice now I've bought necklaces with deeply inset rhinestones that I thought might be vintage (I couldn't look at them up close). Both I got for very little, so I was still happy to flip them for what I priced them at.

 

The one I bought I knew was recent, but I wanted to find out whodunnit and the price was right.

 

J Crew is nice stuff. I've a few bits bought cheaply because it's not known here.

 

Here it sometimes is, sometimes isn't. The Madewell pieces are just marked with an M. Meanwhile they want high prices for the newer Trifari pieces marked with the jus the T, and it's mostly junk. Go figure. (Brighton too, and most of it's junk.)
