    Whoah! Dust jackets can be everything. I've seen older books of small worth sell for a fortune when the dust jacket is there, especially if it's (virtually) intact.

    ...if they ever had them.....
    AND it's important that the 'points' are correct to the book edition.
    Many 'older' books usually did not have jackets.

    McCall's, Redbook, GoodHousekeeping -- I used to read those as a teenager when my Mom bought them. Magazines; not the same anymore.

    DJs -- condition matters there, too, but even if this adds to the value of the cookbook, I dunno by how much.
