Featured Tapa Cloth from Fiji

    Yeah that's what I suspected. I bought it on the main island of Nadi so figured it was less 'authentic'. Thank you!

    It is the circular ornament in the photo I posted.;) The white part is shell, the decoration is finely cut tortoiseshell.
    They used to be worn on the Solomon Islands. This is how:

    I'm with the others, the mask is a tourist carving in Sepik style. The Sepik River is in Papua New Guinea. I don't know if your mask is Papua made, or made somewhere else.
