    The paste set bar is probably French with that trombone clasp. The red white and blue is worth having tested. Looks like an old ruby and a couple of sapphires, probably in silver. You've a Toledo Ware brooch too. A very nice haul indeed.

    I doubt that art glass is Gablonz, it's most untypical of it. It isn't foiled: that's clearer glass with foil behind, whilst this is more of an aventurine technique. For example, Georgian jewellery and some Victorian often had foiled amethysts to accentuate the colour. In other words, a pale amethyst with foil behind it. That centre blue stone has an inclusion of a metallic element, possibly copper in this instance - in other words, aventurine. Might be Venetian.

    @Komo, why do you say that?

    @Sharona, hope you're feeling better? Thank you and thanks for the tips.

    @Bear, thank you! oh..ok, that's why he (Komo) said that. I'll have to have it tested. Also, I have no idea what the hell you just wrote in the quote above :), but thanks for providing the info.

    Wow nuff, that is a quite the haul! I bet there will be lots of goodies in there.
    In the 3rd photo - the stick pin with rhinestones and the brooch next to it, with blue and purple rhinestones look interesting.

    Thanks, CX!

    We just got another load of antique and vintage "costume jewelry" in today purchased at a community yard sale. Currently in the process of separating the precious metals (gold & silver) as I type. My mom is coming over later today to help me sort some of this stuff. It's actually piling up pretty fast and becoming overwhelming. :nailbiting:

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    Wow -- pretty things! Looks like even what you posted already will take a long time to sort. Along with the other things you just bought as well. Lucky your mother is coming over to help. This could take hours! (Hours of fun, of course.)

    @Fig, thanks! Those posted images above are not even 5% of what's all there, it's a pretty nice huge lot...and with today's haul.....geezzz! My mom is doing one heck of a job separating and taking random pieces for herself. She left for the evening but will be back again tomorrow to help. I'll try and get those images for you all.

    @CX, thank you!

    @scoutshouse, please refresh my memory. Which ring? Can it be seen within one of the images I posted within this thread?

    Yup, approximately that (80lbs - 100lbs).

    It's hard to tell what that stone is... Could be glass...
    I also like the cabochon ring next to it.
    I can't message you, so text me with an image of them both?
    Thanks!
