    Oh, af! ;)

Yes, I think Mansons' pot is British. If I get my brain going, I'll remember who made it. I also think that fable of the small and large pots is, being polite, utter cobblers.

Sorry for not being more communicative here, but I am having a huge issue with pages loading today - the status message at the bottom of the page reads "Reading something something Facebook", changes to Reading something something Twitter" and and when the page finally loads the lag between typing and and the type actually appearing on the page is up to 90 seconds!

And I have NOTHING to do with Facebook OR Twitter.............this in madding and I have to get out here before I start tearing what is left of my hair out.

ps this is the only site I am having this problem with and i have no idea why........

Now, that surprises me. It looks classically Brit.

Have you cleared your history and run your malware, virus scanners?
I sometimes have problems and suspect it is all the links and sites I visit trying to run down ids.

All of the above..............and then I called AT&T this am - SURPRISE! I am on the Poor People's Plan, and I have used up my allotment of data for the "quick" speed and have now been slowed down to somewhere between snail and January molasses for the remainder of the month. I fear that my frustration with trying to read or type shall give me a stroke, so I am probably "out of here" until next year unless absolutely necessary (yeah, I will keep in touch with those I am having affairs (!!!!!!) with. And I don't have much of a data allowance on my phone, so that is a no go as well. Besides, I takes me HOURS to just write a three word text, imagine reading and writing on that small screen? I'd be chomping off the fingers that didn't do what I wanted them to do........................

I wish the rest of you Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!

PS I just timed the writing of this - over 9 minutes......................Lordy, I hates bein' poor!

Did you tell them that you are considering changing carriers? That you want to speak to their resolution department. That by slowing down your processing time they are endangering your health.
That you have medical needs and you must keep in contact with your physician via the net and emails.

    Adding:
Maybe the retention dept. not resolution.

I am back - at least for a bit, because I have noted a marked increase in speed whilst attempting to do my "banking" (such as it is).

In this state, at least one carrier has to supply internet access at a rock bottom price for the "financially disabled" and AT&T is currently the chosen carrier, so I have no choice. No other carrier is as inexpensive. But they don't have to supply high-speed connections, only a connection..............and, my, you have to absolutely prove that you are qualified for this benefit..........it is almost embarrassing, the information they require............but this is a true case of a beggar not being choosy............

Small tea and/or coffee pots with a sugar and creamer were often referred to as Tête à Tête sets in this country, with the smallest capacity pieces or sets as noted as individuals (8-12 ounces) - most were intended for home use, but they were also produced in hotelware. The clip below is from an 1886 Meriden Britannia catalog.

Crummy pic of a circa 1880s E.G. Webster & Son silverplate bachelor's teapot, 3-3/4" tall at the lid, 12 oz. capacity:
