Worthwhile if one has a reasonable weight to scrap.

I'd just pile it up if I had less than £1000 to go.

But at the moment I am just hoarding gold and silver and paying spot for it if possible, there is no interest on money but precious metals offer a reasonably high risk but high return possibility. Plus I like having a valuable hoard to gloat over.

As for collectables, the vinyl record seems to be having a comeback. More and more stuff is being dismissed as 'yesterday's antique'. I am yesterdays man so much of it appeals to me and the prices seem low for the quality and beauty.

A good deal of tat has probably had its day, though. Buy only the best.

Old tats too; those seem to be going out of style too, thankfully. Now if only Precious Moments and Willow Tree (and other bits of resin nastiness) would go out of style too.
