[QUOTE="DragonflyWink, post: 4480550, member: 111"]Thanks, guys! Glad y'all enjoyed seeing them... I love him too, makes me smile - and would be thrilled to find a mangle board comparable to those, all museum pieces. Spoon collectors are a pretty obsessive bunch overall - at least they don't take up a huge amount of space... Sue, your mother had good taste - bought the set in my mid-twenties, and still love it (got a great price because it's monogrammed, conveniently, with a 'W' for my last name). Mom's pattern was Towle's Candlelight, I wasn't that crazy about it, but it grew on me over the years, clean lines with the lovely floral detailing, now that it's mine, realize it coordinates well with the Spring Glory. Have you ever seen that 'Ice Cream' spoon? Peggy, plique-à-jour often tempts me, have quite a few more than those in the pic - all the spoons in the group pics have been gathered over time. There was no way I could pass up that spoon rack, even as dark and dirty as she was before I cleaned her up. The silver chest was a whole two dollars, beat-up (still is, on my lengthy to-do list), with a broken door, but the interior was clean and intact - 1950 ad below mentions the walnut version.
