Hi dear Members, Something caught my attention and I decided to buy this piece. It's a three legged bird bowl with two men depicted on the sides. I know nothing about South American ceramics and doing my research I only found one figurine of a similar bird (link below). https://mna.inah.gob.mx/colecciones_detalle.php?id=68371&sala=9&pg=4 Unfortunately, the seller packed it very poorly (if not to say that he didn't packed it at all) and my little bird was damaged during transportation:( I have carefully collected all the broken pieces from the box. My main question is: could anyone say if this bowl looks like a typical tourist souvenir, or it might have any higher cultural/art value? Since my knowledge is zero in this topic I can't even estimate when it was made. And if it is some kind of a ceramic usually sold for travellers and tourists, I will just glue the broken pieces back and enjoy the bowl as a decoration. However, if it an oldie, then I might probably give it to someone who van restore it? So what do you think? The last photo (made by seller) - how it looked before it was broken.
