Featured sometimes I buy stuff by gut feeling

    After Googling images of French vases from the 20's for an hour, I will just have to settle for the idea that the vase is half full... we do know it's French, from 1920 !

    at the moment I'm looking through a very nice book. perhaps I'll find a hint.
    at the moment I tend to believe that it was done in one of the smaller manufactures in the south, probably by an artist that was only loosely connected to everday fabrication.

    Fid, corks fit anywhere....& while maybe not for this...the chipping on the rim and inner rim has me wondering...

    My guess would be a lamp base that was never drilled out for a lamp, or something made to match a lamp base. Transitional for me too; the design looks like 1910 and the colors look 1930, so split the difference and call it 1920?
