Antidiem - I am currently waiting for return call from my doctor. This is about my tenth stone attack. The first two were passed. That was from friendly advice. Summer and the garden needed tending. A few hours spent bending, digging, etc. etc. during which I finished a six pack of Bud. .............Easy pass. Try it next time.

But this one is nothing at all like the past ones. I told ER doc I doubted a kidney stone, mostly because I was not rolling around on the floor, vomiting. But a CT scan confirmed it. Comparatively mild pain "down there" but other places. Feels as though someone is hammering a one inch thick wooden dowel into my left ear. That stopped, but then switched to the right ear. Gas pains all over my stomach and reaching higher. Not my heart. Kidney pain and muscle pain. Yesterday I drank over a quart of bottled water and - in the next 6 hours - passed about 8OZ. I just tried to do a nap but my body is shaking like a pile of leaves in a tornado. This is a stone, a little blood and an infection.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised when I opened the hospital bill for the last treatment. $18,000 for two nights. Didn't even feed me. Next day I got the Dr. bill. $5,000. That was not my regular hospital and they denied knowing anything about lithotripsy.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm going under, then back home.
