Featured Silver ten bob back

    Charity shop buy, weighs nearly 43 grams, the Westminster mint did some 5gram silver notes of newer ten shillings of fronts of QE2nd but I’ve not been able to find another one online like mine so no idea if there are any fronts about.
    Made in 1975, Edinburgh silver. I believe the maker is Alistair Norman Grant.
    Did people frame them up, put them in a cabinet as a collectors item?

    Bradbury £1 and 10/- notes were first produced in 1914 to save using gold & silver during WWI.
    The early 10/- was Red and if you find a high grade one now they are worth £400-600.
    Although I have seen other British currency notes in silver I have never seen this one.

    It has full British hallmarks; otherwise I'd suspect a Danbury Mint fantasy item.

    It’s eventually going to tarnish framed up but I think well worth the £1.50 I paid.
