Egypt has a strong Arab influence, even more so than the other North African countries.</p><p>Rope twist braiding (that's the term) is also often seen on Middle Eastern jewellery, also Bedouin, btw.</p><p>Czech glass is used a lot in the northern part of the Middle East, places like Syria, Kurdistan, Palestine/Israel. I love the way it is used here.</p><p><br /></p><p>Below is a Middle Eastern bracelet, probably Yemeni. You can see it has the same straight-sided inside and rounded outside.
