Featured Silver belt buckle vintage-lapis?

So where does everyone think this buckle is from? I understand that the stone may be Chilean yet that buckle doesn’t ring SA to me. My first thought was Asian but that’s probably because I also think of Afghanistan and lapis.

The buckle is unmarked and poorly made,student,hobbyist,some guy in a shed,it's anyone's guess.

Could also be blue sodalite.

 

That was my first thought as I’m unfamiliar with denim lapis and usually find metallic matrix if it’s not solid blue. With respect to others, I don’t see it as hobbyist but I do see it as an ethnic piece.
