Featured Signed Cameo Lobit ? Sobit ? Sobil ? Please help identify the signature

I did some searching through Google Books, but didn't find any reference to a Sobil, Sobel, Lobel or Lobil as a cameist or engraver. Will keep looking and try Sobie and Sofie.

Thank you for your reply, apologies for responding after so long.
I wonder if you could guide me on where to search, I could do some leg work myself.
Problem is that this is all relatively new for me, and would not know where to start. I did search on Google for the possible names, but the results were nothing relevant to the signature.
I am presuming that there are specific journals or archive I could check. Also, by the frame design and the carving, would this be a British cameo? If not, Are there any archives to search for other countries?

Yep, I was thinking Sofie as well. As someone noted, it does look like there may be a small word/name written but you would need a higher quality image to work with for working that out.

I personally would not be surprised if this is mounted in a 10K gold frame. Anytime I see lead soldier it suggests to me solid gold as it was used because lead has a lower melting point that gold. Granted, I'm not holding the piece to see close up if there is any brassing on it. I have to discount light play and shadows. Well worth getting tested if not marked.

(edit - the name on the back could be of the original sitter and custom carving as a souvenir of the Grand Tour)
