Billy - I'm on android and haven't worked out all the kinks...

But you might check out something called "hazel" to manage Dropbox uploads IF IT'S STILL VIABLE - I don't know. There are lots of ways to upload, resize and store images taken on your cell phone, you just need to find what works for you. Look for Macro photo apps on iTunes?

You'll still need to find ways to stabilize you original photos - but there are hundreds of thousands of iPhone mavens out there who have hacked through all this already.

Thanks, @Hollyblue : (comfort clutch) ear nuts! i never knew they were called that, thanks. My observation on plastic really means nothing - I concede.

These clutches with the plastic disk slide onto the earring post more like the clutch on a stick pin. The disk behind the earlobe keeps heavier stud earrings from drooping over. And, since clutches are interchangeable, as Holly said, have nothing to do with the quality of the stone.

CZ is still stone (lab grown) not glass. I have a pair of CZ earrings that are 14K.

I can't wear any but the absolute lightest stud earrings without those comfort clutches! A great invention.

They're also far easier to handle than butterfly backs. Some CZ earrings are marked CZ, so no one mistakes the stones for genuine stone.

I'm always struggling with those. Too technically advanced for this simpleton.:D Nowadays I generally wear earhooks, it is a technique I can fathom and they don't fall out as easily as studs.

Definitely agree. I change out all my post earrings to plastic discs as they keep them from tipping. Bottom line in my opinion is that we should never consider anything removeable from a piece (regardless of the category) when evaluating age or value.

I don’t know what they’re called but I also use the tiny clear cylinders (soft rubber of some kind) on both studs and wires. You’ll never lose another earring but you have to get accustomed to putting them in by feel as they’re a pain. 8825CEF8-DC3F-4E8B-96D3-69EA988B5D88.jpeg

Silicone. I'm old school and wear mostly screwbacks; if I had holes it would be 14k or bust, but I handle tons of earrings. They sometimes use those silicone backs to keep earrings from falling off of display cards and the like. They do work, but they're a royal pain.

I can’t wear srewbacks. By the time I get them tight enough to stay on, I’m screaming in pain. I’m quite sure that they were invented by the same guy who came up with pointy toe stilettos!

My jeweler has lasered clips or posts onto vintage screwbacks for me. I may have hurt value but at least I can wear them.

I have that reaction to clips. Screwbacks don't hurt me a bit, but those spring-loaded torture devices are another matter. If I had the old ones converted I wouldn't be able to wear them any more.

Me too but not when I use the foam cushions on the clip. Then I’m fine.

I've tried that; they still hurt except for Monet clips. No springs.

Same here, also with clips. They're all instruments of torture to me.
Many can be replaced by hooks, and I keep the original screwbacks and clips with the earrings in case I want to sell.
I've got those, but the tubes are too big for most of my (gold) studs, so they just fall off. Silver studs are usually a bit bigger, maybe it works on those.

I wonder if those silicone tubes come in sizes as mine are tiny and even hold my diamonds which are on very thin gold wires. They’re so tight I have to struggle with new ones although they do stretch out when used on thicker posts.
