This store was way ahead of its time in many ways. It was 4 floors plus the basement. You could get anything from toys, to clothes for the whole family, to tires for your car, to specialty food items &amp; get the shoe repair guy to resole your shoes. They had a small lunch counter by the front door where you could get a hot dog &amp; a full service cafeteria in the back of the store. My Mother worked there for approximately 10 years in the kitchen. I have always found the &quot;Ladies&#039; and Gents&#039; Oyster Rooms&quot; portion slightly amusing.
