Hope vintage is ok, here’s one of the 90 silver-gelatin prints from the book I mentioned in the “sell” section.

I'm dating this "1920s" (feel free to tell me you disagree), so not quite an antique (but getting surprisingly close!). Guessing, not measuring, the original photo is about 2.5"x3.5".

Normally, I only by photos with names on them, but in this case I just fell in love. These two women in their rumpled clothing, middle of a field, cuddled up. And oh my goodness are they both wearing knickerbockers with their high heels? I think so.

If I were a writer, these two would be the stars of my romance novel.

Yes, their bobs would place them in the 1920s. Here's a hair style chart from 1924 that shows similar. And do think the contrast between apparel (men's) and footwear (women's) eye catching.

In the chart Debora provided I see (at least) three different women sporting "marcel waves" hairdos.

Interesting (to me at least) information with drawings on the below link or you can just google "marcel wave" for the below link and other "hairstyle" information. ;)

@Bronwen, I see this is back in May, but did you ever get an answer to what you were looking for here??? If not, here's a link to see a lot of vintage looking mattes....maybe some will lead somewhere positive for you!!!! The one on Etsy.com has quite a few.....you have to scroll through to see them though......

Another favorite... sure, there's lots to love here -- the paper moon, the tams, the fabulous shoulders of that jacket (even without the double-exposure oops), the mist...

I could go on. But it's the "I'm Going to Grow Up to Hurt People" look on little sis' face that really does it for me.

Someone captured kind of a devilish look, didn't they!!!!:):):) I hope in actuality, she was "sweet as butter":happy::happy::happy:

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Somebody who's a prominent member of various photography collector groups on Facebook collects paper moon photos. That's how I first learned they are a "thing." And that is a very nice one!

I love this photo (family member of the Mister) because I had it for the longest time before I realized the photographer was a woman!
