I have to agree it looks like art out of found pieces an with that being said first thing that came to mind for me seeing the back piece and that mark is an old wall mount fire alarm bell .

 

My latest thought is a plow disc, like from a harrow:


I hope to be able to look more closely this weekend, assuming it's still there.

Don't think it's off a harrow.Centre of disc seem to have a square or rectangular hole.My guess is that it is part of an industrial machine,and that the spiked pieces are also part of that machine,with serrated edges maybe it's function was to cut or pulp something.

 

I have been looking at this on and off the last several days since you posted it.

Every time I look at it, all that I see is a witch doctor mask with a headdress attached to a shield.
