It was listed with not so hot pictures. I was hoping that it was a Stephen Hardy piece. Alas I got it and the pellet I was convincing myself that I saw between letters in the not great photo wasn’t there. So it’s not his, or at least not a published mark. It’s more likely it’s an HS than an SH anyway. It was just wishful thinking on my part. I wanted a piece connected to Revere somehow.

It was attributed to someone else in the listing. The former owner was a serious collector and may have had it right. With that said an even more serious silver collector who is a published author on the subject said it would be hard to attribute it to this guy since he was only producing in the US for a very short period of time and not much of his work is known. Another of his friends who is also a silver “pro” disagreed with the attribution as well. It may not even be US made. I’m tempted to give the name attributed to the spoon in the listing but I don’t want to sully anyone’s opinion that might have one. You could find it easily enough if you wanted anyway. So I’m wondering if anyone had any opinions on this mark? Does the mark or work itself look familiar? I’ll eventually give the details of the listing but just wanted to see if anyone came up with a different answer without the bias that info may impart. It’s about 8.5 inches long and a little shy of 2ozt. Thanks in advance for any sleuthing.[/QUOTE]
