Thanks! but, it is not gonna happen. I am tapped out on the opening bid and it would be a miracle if it goes for that.

Time told or rather, SHOUTED, condition DID NOT MATTER in this case! not even a little bit.
I was taken back a little when this guy hit the sales floor & the numbers kept growing, i think i smiled when it passed 50k, what else ya gonna do?
I was not aware that this box even existed or that Esther Fraser had catalogued it in 1933, it just popped up for sale from a private collector at Skinner.
I was also happy to learn a new scholar is reviewing Fraser's work & writing a paper on crosman's work as a group, i look forward to reading it.

I didn't realise til now but, Emelie Gevalt just published
"Revisiting Taunton: Robert Crosman, Esther Stevens Frazer, and the Changing Interpretations of Taunton Chests" in the Chipstone foundation American Furniture 2018 edition, published in May 2019.
It was for her PHD thesis in art history at Univ of Delaware. Additionally, Gevalt will serve as the new Curator of Folk Art at the American Folk Art Museum (AFAM) beginning in November 2019.
This book BETTER be good! I just dropped $60 on it at Amazon & if it's some fluffy, puffy art history/folk art type paper on Crosman, i am gonna be UPSET!:p
