I have a hard time deciding, too.
Blue seems to have been the popular color back then. The pink was a lucky find. I'd like to get green or red next!

It's so satisfying, bringing a little bauble back to life!
I have my eye on a red enamel watch on Ebay, but it might be too far gone. The enamel has a lot of loss, and red might be a hard color to match correctly.
I've got to save them all!

Do you mix polishes to get the right colour?

Yes, I mix colors and add clear polish, too.
You've got to get the right level of transparency to recreate the enamel look.

    And here's another one!
This one was listed on Ebay as "silver tone". A steal at $25.00!
    Its .935 Swiss.
I had to clean it up a bit and retouch some of the numbers.
They are only 1mm high, so super tiny! I couldn't retouch the detail lines on the face. I tried using only one hair, but it wouldn't carry the paint.

still not worth more than those 25 $.
the stamp "argent doré" shows that it had "vermeil" surfaces originally which seems to have gone by daily use. the stamp was also of importance for the customs controls because it was treated as precious metal.
the 935 doesn't mean exact 935 but was used for watch housings to circumvent export problems especially with England. nobody would have tested the massproduced housings individually, but in this way it was certainly the religously defended 925.

Regardless, I still love it. I bought it for my collection, not to re-sell. :)
