<p>
Hi! Wondering if any furniture enthusiasts could lend me their ear for a moment. I have these chairs (<a href="https://imgur.com/a/9W6LdAC" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://imgur.com/a/9W6LdAC" rel="nofollow">https://imgur.com/a/9W6LdAC</a>) , Bentwood I believe they are called, and then there are markings them that say "Drevounia" and "Made in Czechovslovakia". Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately since I might be able to make them better?) the seat is broken, but the rest seems still sturdy. Wondering if anyone knew whether I should replace the seat with the same kind of wooden base or if I could get some weave/rattan thing going on like these chairs here <a href="https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.curatedspaces.com.au%2Fproducts%2Fcopy-of-set-of-six-bentwood-rattan-dining-chairs%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3_FGxe1j-al8zjFdNJtVJ2a4yLqt5V5ZGZ5vM2Ob6dQqU0izfSaAbuxI4&h=AT1yy6qp9-nuWo_8tlBgFCtFRpa50M5MRKWyXlnJT7OFY6vQYE4ZY3tT26h7mf5a3Rg4l9x1CsBFjVGXd725TKEvEUnFgZVrZHjIxse6vXsOihO6AJkV5irri8vahGcc-6QJFDlITA&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]=AT1yaZ3IsLEWvkT6YvIrJV_9zjjAyEAiAglRFZqSIG7jkVIJtaij-1gnd_nXxMB8y3CNSBw04C0X_GC1euUZ5GXqFsHxNiXYax44_hKI4-myHQgCE_S65naTY1kOzCp7XiNCWHExDAbcGeFZLnMzOsII390BZBoNYtU" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.curatedspaces.com.au%2Fproducts%2Fcopy-of-set-of-six-bentwood-rattan-dining-chairs%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3_FGxe1j-al8zjFdNJtVJ2a4yLqt5V5ZGZ5vM2Ob6dQqU0izfSaAbuxI4&h=AT1yy6qp9-nuWo_8tlBgFCtFRpa50M5MRKWyXlnJT7OFY6vQYE4ZY3tT26h7mf5a3Rg4l9x1CsBFjVGXd725TKEvEUnFgZVrZHjIxse6vXsOihO6AJkV5irri8vahGcc-6QJFDlITA&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]=AT1yaZ3IsLEWvkT6YvIrJV_9zjjAyEAiAglRFZqSIG7jkVIJtaij-1gnd_nXxMB8y3CNSBw04C0X_GC1euUZ5GXqFsHxNiXYax44_hKI4-myHQgCE_S65naTY1kOzCp7XiNCWHExDAbcGeFZLnMzOsII390BZBoNYtU" rel="nofollow">https://www.curatedspaces.com.au/.../copy-of-set-of-six...</a>. I like the idea of weaving it myself, since weaving is a kind of ancestral skill, but I've read elsewhere on the net that some chairs you can't put weaving into because the wooden frame isn't strong enough. And then if I replace with a weave, will it loose some of it's original authenticity since it wasn't originally woven? Excited to be part of this community, I love historical objects. Irreplaceable.
</p><p><br /></p>
